* I recently attended a soup swap. this is what I made (its vegan for all you non meat eaters out there). everything I received in exchange was hella tasty so I hope you like shitloads of soup recipes! 'cause that's what you're getting! woo!

So I am terrified of dying. Randomly, both my mother and mother-in-law mentioned mortality this past week and the following conversation ensued:

me: I don't want to die. I am hoping that either by the time I get older that they will have found a way to make me live forever or that I can be a ghost.
Ryan: well what are we? matter and energy. while the matter dies, the energy goes somewhere. i like this explanation because it uses science.*
me: I can totally deal with reincarnation too. thank you.

I love my husband for many reasons but this is certainly one of them. I wish I could tell you I then went to sleep and dreamt about ghost Lisa but alas, that was not the case.

*he said something along these lines. all I know is that I felt better after.
